Get Fit! Functional Training Classes
Imagine a class that improves your appearance, strength, flexibility, balance and even helps you lose weight—all in 30 minutes. Now imagine that it’s not only effective, but fun.

Classes are held in a spacious studio with lots of natural light—and no mirrors! You move through a circuit, spending only 30 seconds at each of 15 stations, where you use hand weights, stability balls, resistance bands, tubing, a balance board and other fun tools. One or more certified personal trainers guide you through the movements and tell you when it’s time to switch stations.

The moves mimic those you make in everyday life, but with resistance. The class is very different from traditional resistance training, which uses gym machines designed to strengthen isolated muscles. This class has no gym-type machines. The moves recruit groups of muscles to function in concert, just as you do when bending, climbing stairs, carrying groceries, or doing other daily activities. As a result, you build balance, coordination, flexibility and strength. The training is called “functional” because it helps you function better in life, sports, or just about anything you do. Not only is it a smart way to move your body, it’s a smart way to shed pounds and inches.
